Each nominee chose the next, and the reasons Times Now reported (trust, past differences, dominance, bullying) show which pairs are at odds this week. For viewers who vote, these six are the names on the week 9 ballot.
The Bigg Boss 20 week 9 nominations put six housemates up for eviction: Mahhi Vij, Aamrapali Dubey, Arishfa Khan, ScoutOP, Uditi Singh and Manish Goel. The names came out of a “Chain Reaction” nomination task in the episode of Monday 2 November 2026, according to reports by Zoom and Times Now.
NewsPlainly did not watch the episode. This report rests on those two written accounts, both published on the night of 2 November, and on NewsPlainly’s earlier coverage of the season. Each detail is credited to the outlet that reported it. Both outlets belong to the Times Network group; no report from outside that group could be read by midnight.
How the Bigg Boss 20 week 9 nominations worked: the Chain Reaction task
Kanika Mann, the current captain of the house, opened the task. Zoom wrote that the captain was given the power to nominate one housemate directly, and that each person nominated then had to name the next. Bigg Boss let the chain run until one housemate chose to stop it. That made the Bigg Boss 20 week 9 nominations a list built by the housemates themselves, one choice at a time.
Zoom placed the task straight after a tense Weekend Ka Vaar, in which host Salman Khan questioned ScoutOP about not standing up for Love Gill during a heated exchange. NewsPlainly covered that episode in its report on the 31 October episode.
Both reports give the same order. Kanika nominated Mahhi Vij. Mahhi, called to the confession room according to Zoom, nominated Aamrapali Dubey. Aamrapali named Arishfa Khan, Arishfa named ScoutOP, and ScoutOP named Uditi Singh. Uditi chose to keep the chain going and named Manish Goel.
Manish then had the choice of carrying the chain on or ending it. He ended it. Times Now wrote that this left Yung DSA, Kanika, Gullu, Love Gill and Qazi Touqeer safe for the week.

Times Now wrote that Manish defended himself against Uditi’s reason, saying he does not give up easily. Kanika and Mahhi also had a major argument after her nomination, the same report said.
Arishfa Khan and Aamrapali Dubey clash after the nominations
The sharpest moment of the Chain Reaction task came between Arishfa and Aamrapali. Times Now reported that when Aamrapali nominated her, Arishfa fought back and called Aamrapali “bachche bechne wali”, a Hindi phrase that means someone who sells children. The report did not explain what Arishfa meant by it.
After the task, Aamrapali confronted Arishfa over the remark, Times Now wrote, and told her to focus on her studies. Yung DSA also criticised Arishfa and said she had not understood what the words meant, according to the same report.
Arishfa’s side, as far as the report goes: Times Now wrote that she later talked the fight over with Uditi and Mahhi. It did not quote any reply from her to Aamrapali or Yung. Zoom’s report did not cover the argument.
What else happened in Bigg Boss 20 week 9’s first episode
The episode began with the house still reacting to Aasif Khan’s eviction on Sunday, which NewsPlainly reported on 1 November. Times Now wrote that Yung DSA (the rapper) and ScoutOP were upset and that Aamrapali and Love Gill comforted them. Yung and ScoutOP ended their own falling-out with a hug, and ScoutOP apologised to Love Gill for his behaviour towards her, the report said.
Times Now also reported a conversation among Qazi Touqeer, Mahhi and Uditi about a supposed jinx: that housemates who sit with Kanika and Gullu tend to be evicted. They named Isha Rikhi, Rhiti Tiwari, Mary Kom and Aasif. Aamrapali said she would not sit with the two, while Qazi said he did not believe in such superstition.
Love Gill also started a conversation with Mahhi in the gym, Times Now wrote, amid their ongoing problems; the report did not say how it went.
The next morning, according to the same report, Yung told Aamrapali he found Love “irritating” and that their group was not united, while ScoutOP told Love he felt Aamrapali favoured Yung.
Bigg Boss 20 week 9 nominations compared with week 8
Two of the six names in the Bigg Boss 20 week 9 nominations were also named in the week 8 lists that NewsPlainly reported. Aamrapali Dubey and ScoutOP were among the six nominees in the reports of the 1 November episode. Arishfa Khan and Manish Goel were in the 27 October nomination list that Filmibeat and Times Now gave, as summarised in NewsPlainly’s week 8 report. Mahhi Vij and Uditi Singh were not in either of those week 8 lists.
Kanika, who was nominated in week 8 according to the 1 November reports, starts week 9 as captain and, according to Times Now, is safe. Love Gill and Gullu, both nominated last week, are among those Manish’s decision left safe, according to Times Now.

The two reports read do not give a voting deadline, vote counts or the date of the week 9 eviction. Neither says whether the captain or any housemate has a power that could change the list later in the week.
