Why it matters
The weekend episodes are where the show's host reviews the week and where evictions are announced, so Shetty's remarks and the result shape who stays in the house. Love Gill is both the subject of the promo and one of seven nominated housemates this week.
Rohit Shetty is in the host’s chair for the Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar this Saturday, 24 October 2026, and his first target is the closeness between contestants Love Gill and ScoutOP. In the Rohit Shetty Bigg Boss 20 promo that JioHotstar posted on Instagram on Saturday morning, the filmmaker asks Love what Scout means to her and tells both of them that Scout massaging her legs, hands and neck does not look right to viewers outside the house, India TV reported. The news agency IANS (Indo-Asian News Service) carried the same account of the promo.
Shetty is standing in for Salman Khan, who has hosted the show’s weekend episodes all season. Salman told viewers on air on 18 October that a prior commitment would keep him away this weekend and that he had asked Shetty to take over, Bollywood Hungama and Gulf News reported.
What the Rohit Shetty Bigg Boss 20 promo shows
The clip opens with a direct question. Shetty asks Love, whose full name is Lovepreet Gill, what Scout is to her. She answers that she thinks of him as a brother, according to both India TV and IANS.
Shetty then brings up the physical contact. He describes Scout pressing her legs, hands and neck and says that, seen from outside the house, it does not look good at all, India TV reported. IANS reported that he also told Scout he could massage her back instead of her calves, and repeated that people watching outside would see it differently from how the two of them see it.
Scout, the gaming creator Tanmay Singh, defends himself in the promo. He says he does the same for Mahhi Vij when she asks, IANS and India TV reported. Shetty replies that what matters is how it looks to viewers. The promo does not show Love responding to that exchange.
The moment Shetty raises had already reached social media. A clip of Scout massaging Love’s feet, hands and calves under a blanket in the house went around online a few days before the promo, India TV said, and drew a wide range of reactions. The weekend episode is the first time the show has put the matter to the two contestants on camera.
Why Salman Khan is missing this Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar
Salman announced the change himself during the Sunday episode of 18 October. He said he had a commitment he could not move and had asked Shetty to host in his place, Bollywood Hungama reported, and said he would be back the following week. Deccan Chronicle, carrying a report from the news agency ANI (Asian News International), and Gulf News reported the same plan.
Shetty is no stranger to reality TV. He has hosted the stunt show Khatron Ke Khiladi for several seasons, IANS noted, and is best known as the director of the Golmaal and Singham films. Neither JioHotstar nor Colors TV has said whether he will host both the Saturday and Sunday episodes.
Bigg Boss 20 nominations and the eviction still to come
The weekend also has to settle week 7’s eviction. Seven housemates were nominated in the episode that streamed on 21 October: Arishfa Khan, Uditi Singh, Manish Goel, Aamrapali Dubey, Love Gill, Gullu and Mary Kom, as NewsPlainly reported in its story on the Bigg Boss 20 nominations. That puts Love herself in the danger zone in the same weekend she faces Shetty’s questions.
No result has been shown yet. Any eviction will be revealed in the weekend episodes, and the show has not confirmed whether anyone will leave this week. NewsPlainly does not report eviction leaks from unofficial accounts.
The house has also changed hands this week. Scout was captain for week 7, and he used that role to send Uditi Singh straight into the nominations. A new captaincy contest was played in the episode of 23 October; Filmibeat reported that Qazi Touqeer and Scout clashed during the contender task, in which six housemates were knocked out.
Who has left Bigg Boss 20 so far
Seven weeks in, the season that began on 6 September 2026 has already lost five contestants. Here is the list, put together from reports by Filmibeat, Bollywood Hungama and the show’s episodes.
| Contestant | How they left |
|---|---|
| Rohed Khan | Evicted |
| Isha Rikhi | Evicted |
| Rhiti Tiwari | Evicted |
| Nakul Dhull | Removed after a physical altercation with Gullu |
| Aman Gandhi | Evicted on public votes, announced on 18 October |
Aman Gandhi’s exit last weekend came after Salman named the three housemates with the fewest votes: Aman, Uditi Singh and Mary Kom, Bollywood Hungama reported. Uditi and Mary Kom are nominated again this week.
